OUR EVENTS FOR THE PREVIOUS SEASONS WERE FUN FOR ALL
OUR 2017 SEASON KICKED OFF WITH A FANTASTIC FILM PREVIEW OF NICK BOGERT'S DOCUMENTARY ON THE POKAGON BAND OF POTAWATOMIE INDIANS AT THE VICKERS' THEATRE.
IN PREVIOUS YEARS, POKAGON BLACK ASH BASKET WEAVING CLASSES WERE ENJOYED BY SEVERAL WITH INDIVIDUAL BASKETS CREATED WITH THE HELP OF MEMBERS OF THE POKAGON POTAWATOMIE INDIANS.
Many of our local and regional businesses contributed prizes for our raffle benefiting the museum which took place the Three Oaks 150 Celebration.
Even though it was a wet and windy day, the Three Oaks Wurstfest found us enjoying connecting with many museum friends.
A group of school children enjoyed a special event which included old tyme music provided by The School of American Music.
The museum could not function or grow without the many hours of support and work from our volunteers. In October, we celebrated the volunteers work and dedication – those who greet visitors at the front desk, who help with artifacts display and cataloging, those who help keep the museum clean and ready for visitors, both inside the building and outside, and those who help with our events through bake sales, planning and so many other ways.
WE THANK YOU!
